THE FOUNDER

The idea of creating a natural bath and body product line came from my daughter Anitra. I pondered and thought about the advantage of creating a good moisturizing cosmetic that could reverse the effects of an extreme climate as it exist here in Denver, Co.

During the summer months it is hot and dry, in the winter, it is cold and dry, accompanied with blowing wind that zaps the natural moisture from your skin and hair all of which are unfavorable elements gave me a good basis to start. First, a full body evaluation was conducted on the condition of the skin, hair, hands, feet and cuticles. I noticed that when it was cold my face would get extremely dry, chaffed and sting. My feet have always been cute (so I thought), with a closer look I, had rough, dry, cracked heels; and a padding of callous on the balls of my feet... Ugh! How did that get there?  I always took good care of my feet (again, so I thought). My hair, thick and course was dry with dead ends and breaking badly. The more stock I took in my physical appearance, the more things I found had been neglected. I started researching, buying books, reading articles, surfing the web and of course listening to the guest professionals on Oprah to see which products ended up on her "Favorite Things" list. To make a long story short, I found creating Shimmer's Natural Bath & Body Salon Products to be my calling  and as well, the cure to my own grooming issues. After creating an orange peel, vanilla bean foot exfoliate-detoxifier, I now have soft heels. The balls of my feet no longer have layers of dry skin. Shimmer's Hemp Oil removed the dryness around the cuticles, and by using Shimmer's  specially formulated Shea Butter, Olive Oil & Jojoba conditioner, my hair has a renewed healthy sheen no longer breaking from dryness. Our oil enriched sugar, botanical, dead sea salt scrubs and soaks remove blackheads, relieves rashes, the irritation of eczema, swelling and muscle pain. We have incorporated designer moisturizing soap bars, that are simply marvelous, created with Shea butter and fragrance. You will not want to get out of the shower or bath.

I want to thank my daughter for her vision and support throughout the years, for giving me a thought to ponder.
